The German brand, well-known for its technology and the reliability of its vehicles, has once again chosen UFI filters for its new Touareg, the second generation of the completely renewed SUV launched on the market in 2010.

UFI FILTERS supplies as original equipment the complete Diesel fuel filter unit of the following versions: 3.0 V6 TDI DPF 240 HP, and 4.2 V8 TDI DPF 340 HP.

The complete Diesel fuel filter unit (original Volkswagen code 7P6127401), that meets the Euro 5 Standard, is made up of a long life, ecological, pleated paper immersed filter cartridge, with a layer of extremely fine synthetic fibres (meltblown) on the outside, and has the following characteristics:
•    Filtering efficiency according to ISO TS 13353:2002, for particles from 3 to5 µm, up to 95%
•    High accumulation capacity with filter replacement every 90,000 Km
•    Water elimination and separation capacity not below 93%
•    Metal housing for burst resistance above 15 bar

The Diesel fuel filter is fundamental in order to guarantee the vehicle life span, as it retains fuel impurities that may clog injectors and damage the injection pump. Not only: filters are fundamental for engine performance as the fuel particles may reduce the correct flow of the Diesel fuel to the engine, so the regular replacement of the filter cartridge allows better vehicle performance.
